1) How long have you been coming to Freedom Life?
Mitch & Shannon: Since September of 2017.
2) Why/How did you first come to FL? Were you invited by someone? See us on social media?
Mitch & Shannon: We were invited by our friend, Jay Epperson.
3) What’s your favorite thing about serving in youth ministry?
Mitch: Seeing their calling come to the surface and building relationships by spending time with them and their family.
Shannon: We are relational people and we incorporate that aspect into the children’s and youth ministry. My husband and I love building relationships with families and helping them grow and mature in the ways of the Lord in their everyday life. We also enjoy mentoring volunteers that are serving in the ministry.
4) Favorite Scripture? Tell us why this is so meaningful for you.
Mitch: John 10:10 – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Shannon: Philippians 4:8 – “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (KJV)
It is important to me because it helps me to focus on things that God wants me to focus on throughout the day and not get sidetracked.
5) What’s one thing you want people to know about Freedom Life?
Mitch: WE ARE A TRUE FAMILY! You will feel God’s love as soon as you walk through the door.
Shannon: It is just what it says, “Freedom Life”… When you come to the church you feel an atmosphere of family, love, acceptance and the true meaning of “come as you are”. Freedom Life Church is a well balanced ministry of love, family, biblical truth, true worship, outreach, missions, discipleship, and community.
Mitch: Watching football and playing golf.
Best book you’ve read lately?
Shannon: “Draw the Circle” by Mark Batterson.
